 Benteng Kuto Besak was built by Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I and Forwarded by Sultan Mahmud  Badaruddin II. Benteng Kuto Besak built in 1780 by unknown architect and the head project was a chinese man. From Benteng kuto besak you can see musi river and Ampera Bridge. In BKB you can find traditional culinary from Palembang like PEMPEK, MODEL, TEKWAN, and etc.
